A Traditional Turkish Bath, also known as hamam, is a public bathing ritual that dates back to the Ottoman Empire. It was influenced by the Roman and Islamic cultures and served as a place for cleanliness, relaxation, socialization and ceremonial purposes. A typical hamam consists of three interconnected rooms: a hot room with dry heat, a warm room with a large marble platform and basins of water, and a cool room for resting. In the warm room, an attendant performs a full-body scrubbing and washing with soap and water, followed by a massage. A Traditional Turkish Bath is an experience that can rejuvenate the body and mind.
